Nice videos.
I can't wait.
I have Boxford 125 TCL that needs retrofitting.
Will it be possible to use servo as headstock spindle and use encoder outputs from servo drivers as feedback?

Here is another video manufacturing the chess figure with G95 and Gg96 both turned on.
This is interesting, because G95 is spindle controlled feedrate mode and G96 is constant surface speed.
The 2 modes depends on eachother.
The UCCNC controls these modes using the spindle encoder in close to realtime.
You can hear as the spindle speed turns up when the knife goes closer and closer to the centerline.
The spindle speed limit is set to 2000 RPM on this video, it could rotate up to 2500 RPM, but we limited it to 2000 RPM in the G96 setting.

do you use servo motor or ac motor with additional encoder on this lathe ?

It will be very interesting to test the new release. Personally, I am excited to see the benefits of using a real lathe control. I don't know what difference it will make for me, I can only run my spindle at maximum 1000rpm now, but I guess it will result in some improvements. Currently I have to adjust the rpm manually or in the G-code, which works also, but automatic adjustments would be better. Anyway, threading works well also with the traditional UCCNC and manual G-code, as I do here in this video:

Here I do threading in a very careful way, since that tool post is a bit weak, but in the meantime I installed a new one, a Multifix type, which is miles better so I can do more aggressive cuts even in steel.

2 minor bug fixes left and we have to finish adding the new settings to the old "Default" screenset and then we will be ready to release.
