AXBB-E -analog output

Postby hawlik » Mon Feb 01, 2021 11:14 am

Hello,

I'm trying to configure analog output of my freshly bought AXBB-E to control VFD frequency and have quick question regarding this feature.
When I set full speed in the uccnc and turn on the spindle the voltage between A01 analog output and 5V0 is about 9.87V. It never goes up to full 10V.

Is it expected value or something is wrong with my setup?
Unfortunately with this value I,m not able to make my VFD running with full frequency.

Thanks

The analog output of the AXBB-E produces a 0-10V analog signal with a +-3% tolerance.
This means that the 10V can be between 9.7 to 10.3 Volts.
Values vary board to board and is due to components tolerances, resistors, opamp offset etc.

If the Voltage you getting is not enough then adjust the input Volts/Hertz parameter in your VFD to make it run on the maximum RPM at 9.87Volts input Voltage.
All VFDs have that parameter.

All VFDs have that parameter.

All good VFD's might, but the cheap Chinese ones used by many do not.

Gerry, Even the cheapest Huanyang ones have this parameter/feature.

My Huanyang does not.

As a workaround for this issue, I set the Max PWM to 50%, and set the VFD for 0-5V control.

Hmm, I did not see one which did not have this parameter, got my hands on many of the Huanyang ones in the last few years.
Maybe your's is an older model?

What is the parameter # on an HY series VFD?

I will have to look it up, but I'm sure it has it, because we adjusted it several times and also several customers had this problem and could adjust it in their Huanyang VFDs.

Thank you for your help.

My VFD is YL620-a. Parameter witch I belewe needs to be changed is:
P03.11 Analog lnput 1 AD Upper limit 0-1023

Default value was 1010 with as assume translates to 10,1V ??
I'm not 100% sure beause this value is kind of weird but I set it to 985 which in my my reasoning translates to 9,85V and now VFD works with full 400Hz maximum value.
