UCCNC for Linux

UCCNC would probably not run on a Raspberry PI, because the software requires a more powerful GPU (graphics processor) and larger graphics memory.
However maybe the PI4 is powerful enough, I'm not too familiar with it. But the PI3 is sure not powerful enough.

It would be lots of work for sure and for this reason we've asked a few people about what they think about the idea of making the software to run on Linux,
but the response we got was 99% that it is not important and that they would not use it on Linux.

I understand your point of view - I just want to kindly tell you the opinion of another person, out of the few you asked to.
My concern is not about the missing Linux support of UCCNC, but the mandatory "upgrade" to Windows 10 imposed by Microsoft.
As you know, there are tons of disadvantages for end-users about Windows 10, but in a corporate environment (or even in a small free-lancer workshop) you cannot use an O.S. that doesn't provide safety updates anymore - like Windows 7. At least here in Italy.

Long story short, to use UCCNC we (or at least, most of us) must upgrade to Windows 10.

Well, not everyone wants to run it.
I don't want to discuss why here - but I've just pointed out now there's no other choice to run UCCNC (under the conditions I explained before).

I keep my pcs off the net
So hopefully my windows 7 pcs will never know I need to update to windows 10.

My only windows 10 machines are the tiny wintel boxes I'm testing uccnc on . And seem to work great. They have very fast graphics built in
Personally I don't like Linux .
