Hello,
Actually, I just want the torch to get surface as zero point like probing. After probing, then retract to a certain height maybe 2" above surface to ignite the torch. Then after all, sheetcam will handle the program to cut. I assume that the surface is flat. It will be good if there is program to probe and to save some point coordinate in case surface not flat. I don't use solenoids or valves. The valves are only on the torch to open and close gases. I only know to operate but do not know how to make program for machine, that's all I know.

Once the torch is adjusted, how do you switch from preheat to cut?

On a hand torch using the cutting torch oxygen lever?

Hello,
I do not use the one on neuron. I just want simple one.

I use machine torch G31, not a hand torch. Open and close valve on the torch to control gas oxy/acethylene.

M0
(Light torch >> press "start")
G0 Zxxx (drop to pierce height)
G4 Pxxx (wait for pierce time delay)
G0 Zxxx (drop to cut height)
.... Continue with cut motion (X&Y)

Hello,
So first thing to do is to edit post processor on sheetcam as follow :

function OnPenDown()
post.Text (" M777\n") -- touch off Macro
end

Then after the torch found the surface and retract to 5" above material followed by :
M0
(Light torch >> press "start")

Start sheetcam with following constant, as follow :

G0 Zxxx (drop to pierce height)
G4 Pxxx (wait for pierce time delay)
G0 Zxxx (drop to cut height)
.... Continue with cut motion (X&Y)

I will find constant for pierce height, pierce time delay, cut height.

I will install my z axis and try this matter.

I've added a simple post processor here for you to have a look at and use if you wish.

viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1313

It "may" be possible for you to use the "autoleveler" plugin to do what the PCB guys do to level their bed so that your machine will correct for the plate across the bed if you do not have THC {poor mans leveling hack}
