PROGRESS!!!!

it starts, it stops, I ca change the speed but if I input 1000 rpm in UCCNC, I get 400 on the VFD

I am so close!!!! Any idea?

Minimum frequency is set to 0 on the drive and 0 in the plugin also.

Just remembered!

Don't use address 2000 for frequency, with this address it use 0-100% so setting 1000 rpm it is setting 100%

I have to look at your manual but you need to set I THINK your frequency address to 0002 and set parameter in VFD to keyboard and not serial to control RPM.

Yes, I'm almost certain you have to change frequency address in ModbusEZ from 2000 to 0002. The address 2000 will not accept the format ModbueEZ is sending frequency but 0002 will.

Check page 28 in your linked manual.

If set to 0002 in modbusez, I loose all control over the speed.
With 2000, I have control over RPM but the value seem to be divided by a factor of 2.5???
24000 rpm on UCCNC will give 9600 on VFD
12000 = 4800
10000 = 4000
1000 = 400
Etc...

I tried all setting on P0.07 but only #7 gives result (referring to page 97 of VFD manual)

P0.07 needs to be on 0....0 = keyboard

Try setting frequency address in ModbusEZ to 0006. Each time you make a change in ModbusEZ you need to save and restart UCCNC.

I will be able to read your manual more thoroughly in and hour or 2. You may be getting's results with P0.7 set to 7 but they won't be correct.

I tried like you suggested and I do get different results and it feels like we’r gettin Closer!
24000 = 2400
10000 = 1000

P0.07 is set to 0 and in ModBusEZ frequency is set to 0006

UNcheck frequency resolution in ModbusEZ Spindle setup. Don't forget save and restart

Reading through the threads here and on CNCZonne, I saw how devoted you are in helping every one. And you certainly took the time to help me!

So much so that I’ve been thinking about a way to lighten the load for you in the future. This is only a suggestion and I really don’t know anything of what I’m talking about!

What if you had a menu with all the compatible VFD models? This menu would be connected to a database and each time you get to make a new VFD to work with the plugin, you had it to the database. Choosing a VFD in the menu would fill out all field automatically. A text field could also show the various settings needed on the VFD to make it work.

Again, it’s only a suggestion!
