Positive only Safe X height?

Postby dammogreen » Sun Feb 18, 2018 8:03 pm

I have my Z axis configured so that fully raised is Z Zero..everything below full vertical height are negative values.

CONFIG/General settings

It seems UCCNC won't let me enter Safe Z values that are negative..."-.2" would be just below full Z height for me..

----

write offset on homing=0
soft- = -14
soft+= 0

You can modify the minvalue parameter of the safeZ textfield using the screeneditor, just change the minvalue parameter to or under the value you want to set it.
The minimum value of the safeZ parameter is limited by the screenset only, the minvalue is now set to 0.

ahh, and SAFE Z is in the Work Coordinate System not Machine System Coordinates....so I have to be very careful what WCS I am in every time I do a "Run From Here".....correct?

If so I would much prefer it was in the Machine Coordinate System for consistency/safety/ease (don't have to change the safe Z value as often or maybe ever)
