Complete reinstall of UC100

Postby GaryWilliams » Sun Feb 04, 2018 2:27 pm

Hi,

I used the "UCx00 automatic installer application for Mach3 and Mach4" on my CNC PC. It seemed to install OK but I get several error messages (some refering to Mach4) when I select UC100 from the Mach3 popup. I tried reinstalling but still get problems. I can't connect to the UC100. How do I completely remove all the UC100 files so I can start again fresh?

Regards

Gary

If you are using Mach3, just delete all UC100 plugins from the Mach3\Plugins folder, and just install the Mach3 plugin.

Hi,

All error messages have now cleared themselves except for one. When I runup Mach3 I get an XML NET profile message. I'll go over to a Mach3 forum to see if their is a cure for this. However, I does not stop the UC100 working. I have rerouted my printer cable and motor control cables and am running some aircut tests. So far, so good. I'll repeat these tests with the spindle running, pump on, etc, to try to determine the culprit. I have noticed a faint pattern running through my screen so there is interference. I have found an EMI filtered mains socket for 10 GBP which I'll fit, then move on to the motor control leads. I'll let you know what I end up doing to fix these interference problems.

Cheers

If it is a 0x18 or 0x19 illegal character message that is because you using a cracked/broken Mach3 license key file.
You can verify if that is the issue with removing the Mach1lic.dat file from the Mach3 folder and restart Mach3 twice.
On the second run the error message will no more show up if it is a license key issue.

And the solution for this is to use a valid purchased license key.
