SkyfireCNC has recently come out with a harmonic drive 4th/5th axis device, and I suspect it's reasonably inexpensive compared to big-name stuff.

Yeah, if it doesn't take two years for it to arrive. :lol:

Someone's read the CNCZone Thread Of Doom... ;)

There are a half dozen people posting on YouToob with actual, working SkyFire machines, having received them within the past 18 months or so. Not that I'd send them any money until I see more evidence, but I'm hopeful - my Makini 1610L is the predecessor to the bigger SkyFire mill and having a source of parts would be nice. If I could buy an ATC that mostly works out of the box with my machine instead of building one from scratch, I'd be pretty happy.

Thank you for your detailed answer, it is full of very informative points for me. I will need to get more familiar with the CAM features in 360 Fusion, just had a quick look until now. So many things to learn ! And still find some time to build the damned beast ;)
