So quick Kitchen table test and have coms with vfd with new rs485 to usb so that would seem to be problem now just need to set up on the mill

So, the issue was with the USB - RS485 adapter?
I think others would probably appritiate if you can post some info on which adapter is what is not working properly and which is the one which you had success with?
I mean other users could avoid buying the non working adapter if you will post the informations.

Ok can confirm that adapter seems to be the problem

will give proper test this weekend when connected to mill and report back with links to the adapters

i got several adapters, and all with the "ch340T" chipset seem to work.

So got out to the workshop tonight and 5 mins everything up and running with no issues the adapter I had no problem with was

I expect that the one that didn't work properly has a counterfeit serial chip inside

Spindle now works fine on standard screen set and 2017 screen set

HY12 will work with 1.2039 and higher which includes the latest version 1.2047.
