Selling a MB2

Postby Derek » Sat Aug 19, 2017 12:16 am

Hope I'm not breaking any rules here.

I bought a CNCroom MB2 BOB from ger21. I was hoping to use it with my UC300-USB. Turns out getting it or the new UB1 to work with error reporting on my DG4s drives is a lot more complicated than I can get involved with. I decided to do what I should have done in the beginning and run multiple HDBB2 BOBs.

It's just the MB2 and the ribbon cables it came with. $75.00 USD plus shipping. I never tested it but I doubt Gerry sold me a pig in a poke:)

Thanks
Derek

Just a bit more info.
I never used this MB2 to run a machine. I only had a single stepper motor and VFD connected to it, and a pushbutton. I sold it to get a UB1. It's practically brand new, and has only been powered up for about 3-4 hours total.

Figured I'd try here first since I know everyone here. My workload is massive right now and I felt like I needed to at least try and sell it. Now that I have I can jam it the box with the 1 C32 and 2 C64 bobs I won't ever use.

I love collecting BOB's. I'll start a museum at some point:)

Thanks
Derek

Maybe we should make the "who has the more BOBs" competition? :)

You can trash it for me:)

That would be depressing.

You know if you offered one more board that was 24V that worked with ports 1,4 and 5 on the 5LPT wouldn't that cover a lot of peoples needs?

Hi Derek,

OK. :)
Yes, I know. We already designed one BOB which works with 2 ports, one normal and one input type, so 2 of them can be connected to the -5LPT giving lots of I/Os.
Unfortunately things going slow when it comes to board prototyping. However we have our own pick and place line for some time now with stencil printer, automatic PNP machine and a midsize reflow oven, it is still time consuming to design, then collect parts for proto boards and to code the PNP machine, measure and optimise the SMD heat profile etc. And it is summer when "even the grass is not growing" in Europe, so things are slower now than it is usually.
But hopefully we will have the proto board without errors, will see soon...
