Gerry, I think you could advice Weerasak to offer different shipping solutions also.
For example he may consider registering with DHL and offering a shipping with them.
A 0.5kgs small size shipment which probably fits a few MB2 or UB1 boards could be shipped to the USA for about 19-22Euros depending on the location and the delivery time is 1-3days only with very detailed tracking. :)
The post office takes a similar package for only a few Euros cheaper, in the 16-19 Euros range and that can take upto 4 weeks to get delivered even if it is marked with priority option and there is only very basic tracking informations available.

I'll let him know. He does offer FedEx, which is about 23-24 euro I think? ($28)

Fedex is sure much better than a post office package. But in Hungary it is pretty expensive, it is about 2 times more costy than DHL.
I've also heard that DHL is also cheap in the USA just like it is in Europe and I also know that it is cheap in China.
By "cheap" I mean cheap compared to other express carriers.
And I can say that DHL operates more professional than many other carriers I worked with so far which includes TNT, Fedex, Gebrüderweiss and some others.
They work comparably great as UPS, but UPS is about 3-4 times more expensive than DHL.
So, this is why I adviced DHL, because I know they offer good service for affortable prices with fast delivery times and with professional tracking and customer support.

With post office the biggest problems is that it is very slow and they often loose or damage packages.
Our statistics says that they loose about every 60th package while DHL never lost a single of our packages so far.
And it is pretty annoying when you wait 4 weeks for a package to arrive and then if it never turns up and the sender has to resend it so you again have to wait another 4 weeks.
Ofcourse the post office is still pretty reliable in Europe and in the USA, but when you ship to 3rd world countries is when packages often lost.

Weerasak says the DHL is much more expensive than Fedex in his country. So Fedex it is.

The UB-1 is now available for purchase. There is a limited number available from the first production run.

1 x UB-1 arrived 3 days via fedex (Thailand > UK).

first impressions are a very neat and well made board.

I am not posting any specific parameters as the manual will no doubt provide switching current limitations etc.

no doubt I'll have a few questions I hope the manual will answer (such as option setting 12 "board ID -> 5LPT/UB1"?)

the 3 onboard relays seem quite fast switching time (sub 1msec operate & release)

And the (standard inputs / outputs [i.e. non motion control!! / step + direct]) optoisolators appear to be TLP185, which are fast, have good voltage rating (24V well in their parameters) and good package power dissipation relative to others on the market.

I await a suiable daughterboard (neatest option seems to be the CNC4PC C10S which is 26PIN IDE <> IDE plugin compatable..... unfortunatly only 5V rated from what I can see.
Note: they do an non "S" variant although this will require a LPT connector, IE not as compact and has screw terminals where as the "S" has the IDE connector or LPT and push in terminals (same as the UB1)

Mine still hasn't arrived, but Fedex still says today. They originally said by 10:30 AM, but changed it.

(such as option setting 12 "board ID -> 5LPT/UB1"?)

This jumper determines whether UCCNC sees it as a 5LPT board or a UB1 board. Different screens are loaded based on which board is detected.

The manual has been available for download for a few days now. http://www.cncroom.com/downloads/UB1%20 ... 0E15R0.pdf

.... not another screen option..... :? (stuggling to create a custom standard run + toolpath screen across all variations of screensets)

[err, but thanks for the guidance]

Hello UB1 owners! Can somebody tell me why I cannot switch K1 with port 1 pin 1? I don't have UB1, but wrote a macro for forum user 1JUMPER10 to toggle K1. On UC300Eth-5LPT it works fine, port 1 pin 1 toggles as it should, but by 1JUMPER10 K1 is not doing anything. Are there any conditions that prevent K1 from switching? I didn't find any in the UB1 manual.

I don't think so. I'm using it for my spindle FWD Run terminal.
