DG4S wiring common gnd vs common positive in controller

Postby markkunis » Mon Sep 02, 2024 4:13 pm

Hey, I'm wondering if there is any solution to connect DG4S to Ruida 6445 controller. The issue is that DG4S is having Step+ and Dir+ inputs with common grounds, and controller is having Step- and Dir- outputs with common positive.

Thanks,

Find the ground terminal for that +5V power output and use that.
However if your controller has NPN transistor output then you will also have to add one-one pullup resistors (Lets say 100 to 220 Ohms) from the outputs to the +5V terminal of your controller.

I solved the issue with 3rd party NPN to PNP converter and that worked fine.
