Appcrash UCCNC 1.2112 and 1.2113

Postby Dhobbs » Mon Jun 22, 2020 11:23 am

when I load a GCode file (seems to be any file) it is all good. but intermittently when I reload another file UCCNC displays the new code, goes to generate the tool-paths and crashes.

All machine positions are lost at next restart
(re-homing works but positions are still lost)

Windows 7 Pro with latest available updates.

Have tried multiple screens, and profiles with no effect.
Have reloaded 1.2037 and this seems OK.
reloading 1.2112 or 1.2113 and problem back.

should I be looking further at my windows or is this a known issue?

Kind regards
Dennis Hobbs.

Update on this ...

After going back to 1.2111 its all rock solid. I can load as many .nc files as i like, uccnc just works beautifully.

As soon as I load 1.2112 or 1.2113 and using the same or default profiles, it loads the first .nc file and runs it no problems. But after reloading 1 or more subsequent .nc files result is appcrash and I'm back to my win7 desktop.

Kind regards
Dennis

Dennis,

I have this same issue. Did you figure out a solution?

Thanks,

Bryan

Crashes like this always happens with computer memory problems which is in 99% of the cases are caused by OpenGL bugs in the video card drivers.
Try to update the video card drivers of your computer.
And if the drivers are already up to date then try to downgrade it to a previous version to see if it makes any difference.

If it is a PC then you can also try to use a different video card.
