I don't know if such thing is possible on UCCNC, but I would appreciate this function too...

No, that is not possible.
If this would be implemented then the table boundaries drawing should be regenerated every time the offset is changed,
because the table boundaries are the machine coordinates and the toolpath is in fixture coordinates.
I'm not saying it is not possible to implement this, but definitely not very simple and I'm wondering how useful would this be for the users? You guys tell me. :)

If you do decide to add it, make sure it's possible to turn it off, as I don't want to see it. :)

For me it is only "good to have" feature.
Maybe a simpler way would be just add boundaries from softlimits (as Vmax says) ? The boundaries would appear only after homing the machine and taking values from softlimits ? (however I'm not sure how the path viewer works...)

Same her. I can see no use for it at all.

But what would be the point unless you work on something which is almost as large as the table you have?

I can see this being handy if you do a lot of sheet work and use the maximum machine size. Although if you run with soft limits then UCCNC will kick out an error when you push "Run" if your code is outside the limits. This can get a little dodgy though if you are running multiple work offsets and multiple tool offsets in the same code.

How do people that don't use soft limits keep from overshooting during rapid jogging and end up into the hard limit switches? I have to really concentrate a lot more than if I have them on. Right now I can rapid 3 axis at once and if I overshoot one it's not the end of the world. Without soft limits I would have to jog one axis at a time carefully.

That's what I was thinking too. I have my soft limits set up a few mm short of where the limit switches would trip (= table lost position & need to re-home). Makes life easy.

I would much prefer the automation of soft limits, to having to keep an eye on the screen while I did high speed jogging. I always watch my table when jogging in any case, never really look at the screen.

But then I do the sheet size work where the edge of the sheet is a short distance from where the limit switches would trip.

My car has soft limits in X and Y plane... Yes, true, I am not joking. There is though a speed limit (I think it is 160kmh), after which it is disengaged.
