Need info about how the laser works

Hi,

I try to make a build with a router and a laser head. I created a toggle button to select either the router or the laser. What I want is keeping the sindle off during the laser operation.

I've modified the M3 / M4 and M5 macro to check the state of the selection button : when in laser mode, I do not enable the spindle (not executing "exec.DospinCW();" or "exec.DospinCCW();" or "exec.Stopspin();"

But when I do that, the laser doesn't fire up. (note, it does if I select router, but the spindle is turned on, or ... in laser mode, the laser fire up as soon as i manually press the spindle button)

Am I missing something ?
