Cycle stop acting as reset when THC on

Postby b57378 » Wed Oct 11, 2023 5:50 am

Hi All, hope you are well.

Just a follow up on one of my previous post with an issue I have been experiencing :

"I am having a crazy issue - I've set up a machine on the default plasma screenset version 1.2113.

I do not have any keyboard mappings, I am using the onscreen controls - when pressing "cycle stop" in the middle of a rapid or toolpath the machine will stop suddenly without decelerating(As if the reset was pressed or a limit was hit).

I am not doing anything funky, all the default macros are in place - this is just a normal setup."

After further testing, I've found that it only happens when THC is active, this happens on 2 independent machines I have.

When THC is off, the machine stops with deaccel with the cycle stop button.

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks in advance!

Just on another note,

There is a minor issue that I have been struggling to iron out( Happens on different machines ):

The post processor I use with the plasma uses a G31 to probe the Z torch - maybe 1 out of every 50 probes will trigger in the air without actually coming into contact with the plate I am cutting.

I originally thought the issue was noise but all our cables are screened and earthed on one side - I have yet to use the de-bounce setting.

I have also replaced the microswitch a couple of times to isolate the issue.

Our routers(Which use UCCNC) have never missed a tool probe - which leads me to believe that the issue might not be electrical noise.

Is there any chance you could also investigate this with the attached .Pro file?

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance!
