Intermitting Probing issue

I have an intermittent bug when using the stock probe function. Most times it will lower the tool slowly to the tool setter twice retract and set 0. However sometimes after using the machine for a few operations and then hitting probe the machine will plunge down fast once, depress the toolsetter pretty low (not enough to damage thankfully) and stop to give an error that the probe was active. It does not retract or set zero. Once this behavior starts it always behaves this way until I restart the program.

Maybe there is a setting that I am accidentally changing after running a few programs?

What version of software are you using , the latest development version - well a year or so old - has a probing bug.
