4th axis with AXBB-E and UCSB

Postby Dc cmlagri » Fri Jul 14, 2023 6:22 am

Good morning,
I am new to this site
I built a plasma cutting table.
I bought an AXBB-E motion control card and a card for port 3 UCSB.
Everything works with the AXBB-E. wiring on the non-isolated outputs (X-Y1 and Y2 and Z) I added a 4th rotary axis and a new DM542T driver (same as the others).
I want to drive the 4th axis with isolated outputs 01 and 02 of the UCSB and using the A axis (B axis = Y2) but nothing works.
The UCSB card is powered only at 24 Vdc, should it be wired with the small 5 Vdc connector?

Can you help me

You could use the 24Volts or the 5Volts from the DC out screw terminals of the UCSB.
The small nylon connector 5Volts is the motion controller's logic 5Volts, so don't use that.

How did you wire the drives step/dir signals to the UCSB, please explain.
