Huanyang Plugin

Postby Dan911 » Tue Feb 14, 2017 6:41 pm

Hello All,

This plugin discussion and development started on the Zone so that's where the plugin is uploaded, there's been a few post here about it so I'm starting a thread and hopefully any farther discussions or problems can be discussed here to help consolidate all info.

Anyone making the switch from Mach3 and parallel port connection to UCCNC with a UC100 and a Huanyang VFD like myself is going find this plugin most useful, but it will also work with any UCCNC controller with UCCNC software. It was originally written for the typical Chinese Spindle you find on Ebay but could be used for any motor/spindle being powered by the Huanyang VFD if set up properly in the plugin configuration window. The pulley system can be used also as long its set up in UCCNC with pulleys checkbox checked, different pulley ratios can be called like you normally would in UCCNC with
M215 PX. Calling pulley with this method you will get a window with new max rpm calculated with pulley ratio and max RPM in motor set up. This max rpm should be used for max rpm in UCCNC pulley set up.

Hope someone finds this plugin as useful as I do, and link is below, make sure you download latest version 1.0007

I was notified of a bug with 1.0007 and fixed. The new and updated version 8.1 is the recommended version to use. It can be found with link below.

Dan,

First UC300Eth-5lpt, UCCNC Version 1.2033 (also same symptoms with previous 2 versions), Huanyang HY02D223B 2.2Kw 220V.

The only version of the DLL that I can get to work is V3. All the others, replay in VFD activates, but spindle does not start.

SpindleTalker works fine.

Any thoughts?

Gordon.

Have you tried the latest version 8.1? In this version you would get a window "VFD Responding on Com Port X".

Dan,

Version 8 I referred to was actually 8.1. I do get the message, "VFD Responding on Com Port 5 (in my case)"

I have also reset VFD and redone the parameters.

What I haven't done (it was unclear) is set the Sact to match what is in the 2017 screenset (I should have mentioned this, shouldn't I). I'm 98.5% certain it also fails in the default screenset, but I'll check.

Hi Gordon,

I haven't checked but I'm sure the Sact labelnumber in 2017 screenset is the default 870 labelnumber. Yes this needs to be changed to the labelnumber you inputted in the HYPLUGIN8.1 configure window and cannot be 870. You must use Edit screen like in set up instructions, I been using 20050.

Gordon, what's troubling me is even with the plugin writing RPM to the wrong Sact field shouldn't stop the VFD from responding, I would appreciate if you update your progress when you can.

Thanks,
Dan

Hi Gorden,

I was running UCCNC 32 so deleted it along with 2017 screenset. Installed UCCNC 33 than 2017 screenset but didn't change the Sact field trying to duplicate the VFD not responding and couldn't. I did have to go to HY config and resetup spindle and com port though.

Dan,

I didn't think that the Sact field would have any impact either: I mentioned it for completeness, nothing worse in trying to diagnose a problem and you get "now you tell me" :D :D

Tomorrow (Saturday for me).

1. Check that MACH3 works with spindle (did before)
2. Check a basic (standard) screenset version of UCCNC
3. Update the Sact field anyway.

Can you think of the CHANGE from Version 3 onward that may cause this?

Cheers

Gordon.

Hi Gordon,

What exactly is happening? If you are getting window "VFD connected and responding on Port__" than the plugin sent a string and the VFD responded, this is what baffling me. Please try going to HYPLUGIN8.1 configure window and if proper settings are there still hit "calculate button" than restart UCCNC. Make sure your spindle pulley box is unchecked.

Also make sure there are no windows behind the UCCNC main screen window.
