installer question

does the uccnc installer add any registry files etc?
on a new pc i just copied my whole install folder to c: drive and added my desktop shortcut and it worked.
just wondering if i have missed out anything apart from usb drivers using this method?

No, you can copy the whole folder to run. The only thing that will not work is the sound of the program. You have to install the OpenAL program manually. You need the installer zip from here.

If you do it using Console.Beep then you don't need it. Now only the reset has sound and that cannot play without the OpenAL.

However, if I can recall, once I had problems without the OpenAL. I'm not sure, but I think I had very high CPU usage until I installed the OpenAL. It was some years ago... You'd better install it to be safe.
