Using I/o to function as a momentary switch

I’m not really able to use the normal method of turning on my spindle via the use of relays…… because of the mill hardware doesn’t allow for it….on the mill there is a momentary switch that turns on the spindle….. so I want to run in parallel a way of mimicking a momentary switch…. Is this possible?

Use a relay which bypasses the switch's contactors.
