Slave axis steps per unit

Postby Doncis » Sun Jan 29, 2023 8:05 am

Hi.
How can I calibrate small deviation slave axis steps per unit? When I hit save button, Uccnc automatically fill the same value from master axis, I tried manually modify config file, with no success. How can I solve this problem?

I wrote macro loop, to constantly change the value. But it works only for display purposes - field show correct value, but real movement uses master axis steps per unit value.
AS3.Setfield(1000.1428,83) ;
AS3.Validatefield(83);

You mean that the master and slave axis has different pitch?
That would require different steps per units values which is not possible currently with UCCNC.

Usually a Master and Slave are on the same Axis and work to drive say the X or Y together. Like both of my Y motors. What are you trying to do?

So why post a question and then don't come back when someone asks why do you need that function??

Granite moving gantry machine, one axis with two DFU3210 ballcrews on both sides. Ballscrews may be not from same bath.
0.08mm diaviation per 700mm.
Compensate this deviation is not possible for now.

Your talking about 8/100 of a mm over 27.55 inches really? 1 millimeter is equal to 0.03937007874 inches. What are you doing in granite that needs that precision? The temperature difference between those two would be a factor also.
