Probing - comp for probe dia

Postby ejg3855 » Thu Jan 26, 2023 9:23 pm

I thought I watched enough videos on how to probe, but I guess not. I have two questions.

1. When I use the outer corner feature it says the p1 2 values cannot be negative. My machine moves neg/neg to achieve the top left corner of a part. How do I do this?

2. When I simple probe a x/y edge and have count for prob dia on it doesn't do the offset. It just leaves the touching edge as zero. What am I doing wrong!?!

When doing a cnr probe it accounts for the direction as you are selecting which way to move by selecting the corner type . So distance is always positive

You should select axis1 and axis2 count dia to ensure it accounts for probe diameter and make sure probe dia is populated. as in screenshot
