Trouble setting homing pins

Postby Hatchet Job » Wed Jul 27, 2022 9:23 am

Hi there.
I'm a complete newbie to UCCNC and I'm currently setting up my CNC router with an AXBB.
I managed to connect my steppers and get them moving but I can't get the homing pins set.
When I input the pin and port numbers it zeros them when I apply settings.
I've tried both with the AXBB connected and disconnected.
Same happens with the limit settings too.
What am I missing?

You are likely entering the wrong port or pin numbers. The inputs are port 2, not port 1.

Yup port 2 is what I've been inputing.
I've tried all available input pins and the same happens.

Can you show a pic of where you have them wired, and what port and pin numbers you are entering.
This happens when you enter an invalid port and pin number. Many people have been confused about the actual port and pin numbers on the AXBB-E.

Are you pressing the 'enter' button on keyboard before hitting 'apply'?.
Or putting the numbers in and hitting apply?.
Need to press 'enter' first. Many forget that.

Thanks guys.
I'm trying to using the port 2 isolated inputs 11-16 as per the manual.
I figured out to press enter after inputing but when I go to apply the settings all the boxes zero.
It happens wether I have the connections made to the AXBB or not.
I just can't figure it out.

The pins are 1-6, not 11-16.
