'Simple Probe' question.

Postby muzzlitebeer » Sat Apr 30, 2022 11:35 am

I've been trying to set up a probing plate on my machine, at this point, just to set the Z axis to the work surface. I got the probe working, but it wasn't resetting the Z to zero at the work surface.

When I changed it from 'mobile probe' to 'touch probe', it started working properly.

But I notice that pressing 'Probe' on the main interface doesn't reset the Z axis. If I press 'Start Probing' in the 'PROBE' settings panel, the Z resets itself as expected.

Why is the button on the main interface not behaving itself?

*NOTE* The screenshot linked below is not from the actual UCCNC machine. That's over in my workshop. The screengrab is from my 'domestic' computer running in Demo mode. I made it look (from memory) as much as I could like the workshop computer.

I'm not allowed to edit the post above. I wanted to add that I'm just trying to set up 'Simple probe'...

So I think the probe that you have circled in Red uses the M31 macro. it is the z height probe. you have to edit some parameters to suit your machine.(at least I did)
The probe button you have circled in orange uses the plugin. In which you have to input the setting you want to use on the probe settings tab.
