Losing connection while starting not in demo mode

Postby Michal01 » Sun May 08, 2022 4:53 pm

Hi,

I have built for my machine individual stand for PC and I am trying to switch from laptop to PC - DELL Optiplex 760 (DT version) with AFOX GeForce GT240 card due to too low OpenGL in integrated video card.
I am using version UC300ETH_5LPT.

I tried to install and run on windows 10 x64, but everytime I am getting grey screen, small window with information about loosing connection and shutting down the UCCNC and question: "Save offsets?".
So I started again and installed windows 7 pro x64 (driver of the geforce video card not necessarly could cooperate with windows 10).
Result is same, but it runs in demo mode - I didn't check if it works on win 10.
Once it showed GUI after longer waiting, but always pops up small window with above information and shuts down everything.
I run UCxxx utility and put all of that where it should go.
I have read topic about "Defaultscreenset.ssf" and default.pro file. It looks ok on my installation.

I have spent already 8 hours and no luck.
What should I do next?

Finally I have solved that problem. Using UCxx utility and TCP/IpV4 options I set values, that made it working.
In my case connection started working with (direct connection):

UCxxx - default values changed to:

DHCP enable - no
IP Address: 10 10 10 11
Subnet Mask: 255 255 255 0
Gateway: 10 10 10 11

PC:

IP Address: 10 10 10 10
Subnet Mask: 255 255 255 0
Gateway: nothing in here

Maybe it helps someone.

This is described in the UC300ETH-5LPT users manual in details.
Everybody should read the manual before using the device.
