Probe causing circuit breaker

Postby Jason1970 » Mon Mar 07, 2022 3:19 pm

Good day all,
Wonder if someone can please help me . I have and been using a Chinese’s 3040CNC, I connected the probe ( one cable for the Copper board, the other attached to the probe ) all been working fine .
All of a sudden it’s now causing the home circuit breaker to trip , soon as the probe touches the copper plate it’s blowing out and I am not sure why .

Very much appreciate some info what I could try out please .

I thank you

Jason

Sounds like you have a very dangerous short somewhere, perhaps in the spindle?

You have a serious earth problem. You should check your wiring. Don't use your machine until you have sorted this out, it may be a lethal problem. No, I am not joking, I am dead serious.

Hello . Quick question, should there be any voltage between the probe and the copper plate ( when I have the copper plate grounded )

I am getting ~5v

Thank you
