it's been a while, so i tested a few things.

-First of all, i bought a motion controller (driver was connected to uc100 directly).
Now everything is connected through a mainboard (czech site: https://www.caucau.cz/elektronika/profi4-zakladni-deska)
Pins are a little bit different. P2 with P3 are used to relay. A table is on that site.

-I found on newfangled's site url with different versions of mach4, so i tested the newiest one, the oldiest one and something between thoose one.

-Of course i tried find help on their helpdesk, they respond with i must contact uc100 developer.

-All test's I did on pc and personal notebook with different systems.

Maybe i can try a different version of firmware uc100, but i cant find anything.

Unfortunately the Mach developers changed things in their plugin interface which made our plugins not to work properly with the newest versions of Mach4.
My collegues are working on resolving this issue, but it takes time, because lots of things have been changed.
To fix the backlash issue we first have to address the mentioned problem. We working on it.

Story so far, bought uc300eth and uccnc software package for my lathe/mill conversion. Almost finished converting, find out uccnc doesnt have a lathe profile yet (odd), switch to mach3, experience reminded me of a program i wrote in the 1980's....in turtle code. Switched to Mach4 , looks promising. Find this forum, Mach4 list of plugins for version 2 don't mention uccnc. In summary, uccnc still busy with lathe profile and mach4 ver2 plug in........ $10k plus spent and game over. My experience from the CAD , CAM software suites are world class commercial packages worth every cent, then into the CNC machine controller/ software and its more like an interest group mucking about when they have the time.

Hello, signed up to say that we have the same issue.

We use UC100 with Mach4, and backlash compensation does not work on the X-axis.
It works fine on the Y-axis.

Backlash compensation was working okay in Mach3 demo. We paid for Mach4 hobby and upgraded the firmware on the UC100 for Mach4, and everything works great except no backlash compensation on X.
It's a big problem for us because we want to machine small gear teeth and even a small backlash can lead to meshing problems.

I can see it's been a while since anyone posted in this thread, was the driver problem ever resolved? What exactly was changed in Mach4 that made this no longer work, and why only in one axis? Maybe if you could share what exactly what was changed in Mach4 that made BC in X axis stop working, then we could figure out a way to work around it.
