help setting up ATC

Postby Delco » Thu Jan 13, 2022 1:20 am

I am trying to set a ATC up and having a mental blank
My setup is

Port 3 Pin 17 for the ATC hold line and the air seal solonoid
Port 3 pin 14 for the ATC release
Port 3 pin 16 for the ATC dust blast
and
Port 3 pin 12 for the manual ATC release button.

My thought were to assign port 3pin17 to activate on spindle CW so spindle is clamped while running and airseal functions.

The auto atc release will happen in the M6 macro as well as the dust blast and a clamping also of the hold line to help close the ATC when tool grabbed.

For the manual tool change release I need Port 3 pin11 to activate port 3 pin 14 and on release of manual button activate Port3 pin17 to help the return of drawbar.

So do I go into output trigger and set port3pin14 to trigger on led97(port3pin12) low and set port3pin17 to trigger on led97(port1pin10) high. ?

The problem I see is I then port 3pin17 will always be on even if spindle not running and ATC macro will not work.

or do I use 2 buttons to activate atc release and another to activate atc grab ?

how does everyone else do it ?

The output triggers work different as the input triggers. The output trigger is not a trigger: it just copies the selected LED state to the output. If you have more LEDs connected the the same output then all will be copied in sequence and the last state will be the active. If you need some logic then write a macroloop to do the logic and set the output.
