Crash on mouse click

Postby ggt » Fri Nov 05, 2021 4:06 am

I am transferring over from Mach3 to UCCNC using version 1.2113 and UC300eth on a Windows 7 32 bit PC. The processor is an Intel Atom D2550 which uses an integrated graphics adapter. The board can support openGL 3.0 but I don't know what version of openGL is embedded in the board.

I had a basic axis profile set up in Mach3 where I could jog all axis and home the axis properly (although the homing speed was extremely slow). I transferred these settings over to UCCNC by importing the Mach3 profile.

I can get basic movement of the axis, but when I mouse click on Jog + or Jog -, as an example, the screen will go black and freeze or I will get a blue screen regarding unhandled exception. In some instances, I get an error message "A Machine Software Limit has been reached and the axis stopped" and then the computer will crash. I tried to disable the software limits, but a mouse click on the enable check box also caused the computer to crash.

From my reading of the forum posts, it appears that UCCNC can be run on a Windows 7 32 bit PC, or at least older versions of the software could.

What would be the next suggested steps in getting to the root of the problem?

That seem so be a video card or driver issue. If you have the latest video driver installed and still doesn't work then that integrated card is weak. Most video problems are detected by the software, but there are too many combinations. There's no problem with Windows 7 32 bit.
