Laser plugin

Postby laki » Wed Mar 31, 2021 10:06 pm

Today I installed a NEJE 30w laser on my machine and used a laser plugin for the first time.
Is there any way to swap the x and y axes during engraving? I'm thinking of replacing Y scan distance (Units) with X scan distance (Units).

My machine configuration:
- X axis 2080mm (slave axis B)
- Y axis 1030mm (gantry)

It would be nice if most of the work could be done by the Y axis (the Y axis is lighter and I can speed it up further)

How do you like the NEJE 30w laser? I am marketing around for a laser. Currently have two machines. One id the Shark HD4 with the 2watt laser. Its ok for surface stuff but not much more. SO I would like to put maybe a 3o watt on the UCCNC controlled table I have.

Also, hows the plugin?

I wanted to ask what your thoughts were on the NEJE 30 watt laser? Also, what software do you use to produce your picture files to laser one he UCCNC controller?

Thank you.

Hi,

I have exactly the same question.

Is there a way to achieve what Laki described?

Thanks

There is no function like that in the plugin, the only way you could do it is if you will swap the X axis with Y axis in the configuration.

Thank you for your reply.

I did not think of doing this. however as I'm making a separate profile and screenset for laser requirements this should be easy to do.
