UCR201 Default MPG mode

Is there a way to change/disable the default MPG mode/speed on the UCR201?

Quite frequenty I find myself going to jog the machine after initial power up and the thing has defaulted to speed mode @ 100% and I almost crash the machine with only minor input on the MPG wheel...

OK so i've managed to work around this by changing the speed multiplier from 20 to 2, making the default 100% MPG setting much less insane. However, every time i start the software the plugin defaults back to 20. Is there a way to make the UCR201 plugin remember the settings?
