Automatic calculation of the angle?

Postby CADdy » Mon Aug 16, 2021 1:31 pm

Hi all,
if I probe the workpiece with the Angle option, is the measured angle automatically calculated during milling or do I have to enter it manually with G68?

You need to enter it in your Gcode G68 A0 B0 R45.0 where A0 is your X centre of rotation B0 is your Y centre of rotation ( in this case X0Y0 ) and R is your angle ( in this case 45.0 deg )
When done you need a G69 to come out of the G68 mode

Hi Delco,

thank you very much for your answer. So I have to manually enter a G68 with the appropriate parameters before starting the program. At the end then a G69 to end the function again.

Yes place it in your Gcode as you cant probe toolchanges etc when in G68

writing the G68 command into the Gcode is no problem. Unfortunately, as you said, you can then no longer perform manual tool changes. Since I don't have an automatic tool changer, this then only works with one tool.
