Aspire laser post processor

Postby Delco » Wed Apr 10, 2019 9:39 am

I am having some issues setting up UCCNC for my laser.

I have it working at present by using a M3S# speed command but wanted to try and use the M10 command.
The post processor I found outputs a M10S# but this does not seem to work I have the laser port enabled as well as the same port enabled for the spindle PWM
looking at the aspire website it seems to want a M10Q# is this correct ? And the # to be between 0 and 255 ?

I have laser on port 17 PWM and power relay on port14

Also is there a slider to change the output of the laser like there is for feed and speed ?

The format is M10Q... (Q->0 to 255), the Q could not be S, because S is the spindle speed command, so Q is the parameter of M10.
You have to enable the M3 also, because it is a safety enable signal for the laser.
So, enable M3 first and then you can do M10 and M11.

Hello,

I too currently own Aspire (version 4.5) and am in the process of building a CNC Router with CO2 laser incorporated. I have been using Aspire for my router since the beginning and, I have found it superior to other softwares on the market. I would like to use Aspire to produce laser cutting / engraving / rastering paths as well, but have been told that I would need a post processor for the laser.

Delco, have you managed to fix the problem with your and if so, could you kindly advise how did you go around it?

Regards
