M3 vs button 114 operation

UCCNC version 1.2113

I noticed when using button 114 (M3 toggle) the M3 macro does not run --- I assume the spindle is started by UCCNC internally without invoking the M3 macro. Of course this means any code added to M3 does not get executed when the spindle is started manually using button 114 (or 115). To be consistent on how starting the spindle operates, shouldn't button 114 invoke the M3 macro or am I missing some nuance on why button 114 does not invoke the M3 macro?
