Switching between 2 probes

I have wired a touch plate and a probe to my UCETH300 and both work fine ( one is NC and one is NO).

Is there a way to switch between the 2 probes other than by making a macro that enables / disables Probe1 or Probe2 ?

wIRE ONE TO THE PROBE 1 INPUT , AND WIRE THE OTHER TO THE PROBE 2 INPUT AND CONFIGURE .

Probe 1 is on Pin 10 Port 1
Probe 2 is on Pin 11 Port 1

I know that both of the Probes are tied to the "Probe" logic.

Wanted to know if there was a way to select which one is active without manually changing the IO config.
Because one probe is NC and when I'm not using it .. and disconnect it.. naturally it triggers Probe logic !

Will just write a macro that changes the config and tie to a button.

For your NC probe that you remove, can you make a 'shorting plug' that you put in place of the probe? Might be easier than a software approach.

I use a shorting plug approach for my NC touch probe, and the 'shorting plug' serves two purposes for me. 1) it is permanently mounted to the spindle head, so when the probe isn't there, the probe cable is plugged into it and kept out of the way and not freely dangling. 2) it closes the circuit to solve that problem you're having .

Depending on your connection scheme at the control box, you can also get 1/8" mono or stereo audio jack connectors which 'self close' a circuit when the male plug is removed. I've also used those before to serve the same purpose of shorting the signal when the probe is removed. Just depends at which end of the cable the probe is more easily disconnected.

I bought a probe with a magnetic connector.. so will have to make one up
