Limit Switch problem

I am trying to set up my limit switches but failing. They are NPN NO proximity sensors.
The switch lights up itself when activated, the AXBB-E Led lights up when activated, but the UCCNC software shows the pins as triggered and lit up regardless of whether the sensors are being activated or not.
I cant take it out of reset unless I disable the axis, switch it to signal low, or set the pin and port to zero. Once that is done it obviously doesn't work either!

Am I missing something?

Are your limits set up as N/C in the software, thus triggered permanently?
