UCR201 works only at short range, tried all channels?

Postby Dennis CNC » Wed Feb 10, 2021 3:31 am

This is my 5th wireless mpg and this one works only at very short range up to 5 feet. Any further and looses signal.
All the other ones are on different machines at other locations and all work reliably to 30 feet.

This is the only one MPG at this location on one machine. In a metal building in Florida usa.
I tried US and Europe channels same results, anything else to try?

Hi,

It should work for about 10 meters distance (about 30 feet).

Try to tune the device using the service tuning menu.
You can access it with pressing the e-stop button in, then press and hold the Home and GotoZero button for ~10 seconds.
The UCR201 will access the service tuning menu, then you can change the tuning value rotating the encoder wheel.
In most devices 4 to 15 value is the optimal. We tune all the devices to it's transmitter when testing the devices, but it is possible that it got untuned for some reason. We had a few cases when battery change made the device to forget the tuning value.

So, you can try a few different values to see if it fixes the problem.
If it does not make a change then tune back the original value.
