Postprocessor for SimplexCam 4.1 or Ecam V4

Postby jef.maas@telenet.be » Wed Feb 03, 2021 2:27 pm

Have always worked with Mach3, in collaboration with Ecam V4 (SimplexCAM 4.1). I was able to enter a mach3 milling and turning postprocessor. Are there prostprocessors for UCCNC for that software? Sorry for poor English. (my language is DUTCH)

UCCNC understands the same G/M codes as Mach3, so if your codes worked with Mach3 then it should also work with UCCNC.
Some fine adjustment of the post processor might be required, but usually an offshelf Mach3 post processor works just fine without modification.

Dear,
I have found the problem. The g code file that the program Ecam (Simplexcam) creates contains empty g code lines for a nice overview. When I run the program in Mach3, there is no problem. Your program doesn't seem to allow empty command lines in g code? Do you know a solution for this?
Thanks, Jef

Can you post a non-working g-code?

What are empty g-code lines?
Blank lines are not a problem.

An empty line was, for example, line N0006.
I modified the postprocessor so that it does not give line numbers without text.
Now UCCNC will accept the code.

There is a setting in UCCNC to ignore unknown g-codes. Select that option.
