Spindle set up AXBB-E

Postby woffler » Sun Nov 29, 2020 8:31 pm

I have a question on the AX board there is a pin( A01) out for Zero to10 or five volts Analog out got that part, the question arises in the soft ware on the PWM pin for the spindle ,what goes there because there is no pin in the menu A01 and pin 01
I am a little confused what to do there .

On I/O setup page 1 set the "Spindle PWM --> analog ch." field to 1. Analog pins cannot be selected as input or output.

This module is designed to work with 24V active high inputs. You can try to drive it with the 5V outputs (O9 to O17), but it may not work. (Depends on the resistors inside the box. If you just plan to buy it then search for the 5V version.) The AXBB outputs O1 to O8 connect to ground when on, so these outputs will not drive this device.

Never mind i figured it out, i had to put a 1K resistor in line and then the contactor worked fine ,maybe this will help someone else.

I see what you mean i was able to drive only one relay but not two ,any suggestion for what relay board would work with your outputs 01 thru 08 ,i saw you said search for one with 5 volts and try the other outputs, i am out of i/o on the pins 09 thru 17 , i am going to need to order your expansion board from cnc4pc in a little while to get the rest of the I/O i need .

You don't really need a relay board for O1 to O8. You just need standard 24V DC coil relays connected to the 24V+ and one of those outputs. Don't forget that O1 works only when it is the charge pump.

Thanks for the information ,i will order some 24 volt relays and get them installed.
