UCR201 works on one USB port, but I can't use another one

Postby Screek » Sun Nov 29, 2020 4:16 pm

I connected the wireless dongle to one of my USB ports, enabled the UCR201plugin in UCCNC, restarted UCCNC and all worked fine from the start.

Now I wanted to plugin the wireless dongle to a different USB port, but then I only see the error message "No connection to receiver!".

In my device manager I can see that the working USB port gets assigned COM port 4. The USB port I want to use now gets assigned COM port 6. I did not find any configurations in UCCNC or the plugin to change this port.
I also tried to disable the plugin, restart UCCNC and enable it again, but without success.

Can someone please tell me, what I need to do to change the wireless dongle to a different USB port?

Setup:
* UCCNC version 1.2111
* UCR201 Plugin Beta 1.4 with default settings (RF Channel C1, Europe)
* Windows 10 Pro 64 bit (recent version)

The COM port driver gets automatically numbered and assigned by Windows, because the UCR201 using a HID driver mimicing a COM port.
So, there is no need to re-number the port manually.
IT should be no problem that one of the ports is port 4. and the other is port 6., both should work when the device is connected to the port.

You could try to uninstall port 4. to see what happens, but I'm not sure if it will help anything though, but it worth a try.
