Just added analog pressure transducer to check incoming air supply pressure for Atc safety

I was just looking at doing this after having seen a Haas that recently crashed the ATC with low pressure. Of course it has a sensor to stop this, but apparently something else failed.

That said, I don't want to crash my ATC, and I currently don't have a pressure sensor. How hard is this to setup?

sensor is simple fit- just 3 wires. 5v, gnd and analog signal.
i added a text field to the screen to write to and display.
the math was pretty hard for me to get my head around as it only outputs 0.5v to 4.5v
but i worked it out and wrote a macroloop to monitor it and update the text field.
i can then read that text field before any m6 operation starts to check its value . i have it checking value is above 95 psi before allowing atc to run

i can post the macroloop and check codes for you to use. the transducer is only about £13 in the uk.

Ahhh, I've seen your machine on the Facebook group!

There is verbage in my M6 macro for a pressure sensor, but more than anything I was concerned with how I would calibrate that sensor for UCCNC. I have calibrated various .5v to 4.5v sensors for various data loggers, but UCCNC isn't exactly setup in that manner.

That text field with PSI readout is epic!

I run a pretty small compressor, it's low volume, but also low noise. I designed my PDB and ATC around a 90psi minimum. The only time I have had an issue with air since building the machine was when I left the compressor unplugged, or the mill unplugged from the air supply. This results in a fail tool change as the ATC carriage has a hall effect sensor that signals that it at least moved off it's stop. That said, I hate for the carriage to make it's way under the spindle and the PDB fail to release the tool. It would probably do some pretty big damage to the carousel. I also use this same compressor for shop air, so I have to be really careful.

The -2688 used is the actual reading of the analogue variable at zero psi which gives correct calibration offset
