Relay connection help on ucbb

Postby patgabatch » Mon Aug 03, 2020 9:44 am

Hello to all users, I am new to this type of construction and I need your help, indeed make the connection of a relay in order to supply the cooling pump and my problem is the connection of this last on the UCBB board. If I understood correctly, the relay card is supplied by the GND and the VCC in 24 volts (do not take into account the relay which is in 5v, waiting for an order) the IN1 contact allows to supply the coil by connecting to the GND, but how should I connect it to ucbb
Thank you for your patience
cordially
patrick

Hello Patrick,

You can use the 5V relay panel: connect DCout 0V to GND, DCout 5V to Vcc, any outputs to IN1 and IN2.

That is what I wrote.
Code: Select all
UCBB          Relay board
DCout 0V ---- GND
DCout 5V ---- Vcc
Ox ---------- IN1
Oy ---------- IN2

thank you, I take a little long to understand, the connection has been made, uccnc configured, the led of my relay lights up, the diagnostic led lights up but flashes, but the relay coil does not activate the contact. how to check knowing that the pin is not yet connected?

Do you mean "Charge p" as "load p"? It's not easy to decode what you write, sorry...

If you mean the charge pump output then yes, it will flash, because the charge pump output is not a fixed signal, but a some kHz square wave. You need a circuit to decode the charge pump output, so if you set it to the relay board that you have then it will not work. In fact, you wrote that you want to switch your cooling pump with this relay board.

The charge pump always on makes what it sais: when UCCNC is running then enables the charge pump output. (If it is not turned on then only when reset is inactive then is the charge pump on.)

Hello, sorry for my language but my questions are translated by google and the terms used are not familiar to me. So you say that my connection is not correct since "charge p" is a temporary signal. Or can I connect my relay so that the cooling pump is active when the spindle turns?

OK, now I understand. :)

Here is a video about the charge pump: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PvAdT0QX6Ts.

You can use your relay board on any output, except the charge pump and the laser output. (The laser output can only be used if you just turn it on and off.)

You can turn on a relay when the spindle is started: set an output trigger to the relay and the spindle on LED (50, spindle CW).
