G31 skip is ignored in mach3

Postby chang » Thu Dec 29, 2016 1:12 am

system : 300ETH - Breakoutboard, mach3 r3. 043.062
probe setting : port 2 pin 13, check box active low.

I have a problem with Mach3 and 300ETH use of G31 skip.
The problem is that G31 when executed as g-code from a file, is not skipping. Digitise LED works on the diagnostic screen.

For example, I type "G31 Z -100 F50" in MDI screen. And when probe contact machine,
digitise LED works on the diagnostic screen but moving does not stop.

Of course, I did not have this problem when I connected directly to the printer port of the breakout board without connecting the 300eth.

So I think this problem is caused by connecting 300eth.
Is there a solution?
thank you.

Hi,

We are currently on holidays, but I will tell my collegue to check the issue you mentioning, so he can check it as soon as we start working again.
And to clarify, to see if I understand the issue correctly, the G31 works fine when executed from g-code file and not when executed from MDI?
And one more thing is to please upload your mach3 .xml settings file here, so we can test with your settings and also please tell me which mach3 version you using?

HI

G-code G31 does not work when executed on file as well as when executed on MDI.
And Mach 3.xml file is will be attached after 1~2days.
And my Mach version is r3.043.062.

thank you.

If I recall the same function is called in the plugin when the G31 is called from MDI and from g-code, so if it has the same problem both ways that makes sense.
From your original writting I understood differently, so thanks for clarifying it.

Anyways, I'm not the one who working on the Mach3 plugin, I'm just collecting the informations from you, so if you will upload your .xml file then my collegue will debug the issue asap.

And one more question is which plugin version you using?
You can check that on the plugin config in mach3 or check the plugin filename in the Mach3/Plugins folder, the filename also contains the versionnumber.
The latest is V1.006 for the UC300ETH, if you using an earlier version then please try to install the newest one to see if it still has this issue.

My collegue checked the issue and it seems he found the reason for it and could correct the issue.
Please check and try the attached plugin version and let me know how it works at you.
Copy the .dll file to the Mach3/Plugins folder and also delete the previous UC300ETH plugin .dll from there.

Hi Balázs, does this mean that there is a bug in the current dll?

I can confirm that probing didn't work for me either with the current plugin. While I don't have it connected to a machine, the DRO's continued showing movement after the probe trip.
