@laki, I carried out your instructions but the UCCNC still loads with the Profile: Default and I have to go to Settings > Profiles and change to the Stepcraft profile I have applied and saved but it always opens in Default. Where have I gone wrong ??

EDIT I have tried to set the Y axis 'Homing backoff' but it won't let me enter a negative number.

Yes that's that profile.
Start the program, go to settings, axes setup and
in setting for the Y axis you should see this:

@laki, I have lost the plot here. I seemed to have missed some posts or something else has happened. Can I start this thread in the morning again after I find out what is happening. I think I was editing a post and it timed out.

I am sorry laki but this doesn't happen now.
When I start UCCNC it opens in Default and I can go to Settings > Profiles and change it and Save it and Run it, but when I shut down it reverts back to Default and I have to restore it again.
This morning I deleted the 2113 Folder and started again. I have carried out your instructions and clicked the desktop icon. UCCNC has started and it says Profile Default on screen. I go to Settings > Profiles I get the screen I show here, I cannot see a 'Select Screenshot' button. Will I need to delete and re-install ??

@ger21, sorry I did not make that clear. I should have said I deleted the folder 2113 and reinstalled according to his instructions "including setting up the desktop icon". I have done as laki suggested and on't get the result so I may have missed something somewhere
