SWAP AXIS w/Spindle

Has, or will this be implemented ?

SwapAxis cannot swap the spindle with an axis. The spindle homing feature would be a nice thing, but now it's not implemented.

I am mounting a live tool on a lathe and need the spindle to act as a regular spindle and also a rotary axis.
Which is the easier way ?
I think Mach3 can swap Axis/Spindle ?

As I remember, the same pins were set as e.g. C axis and step/dir spindle. When the spindle is on then you must not use the C axis and vice versa. With this configuration you can home the spindle as an axis.

I will experiment with it.
I really don't need to HOME the axis to a sensor.
I think I can just set it to program 0.000 within the swap macro.
Will need to play with it.
