Postby asuratman » Tue Mar 17, 2020 1:00 pm

How to run or set M998, there is always error on tool change : M998.txt could not run ?
There is macro M99998.txt in profile/macro_default, is there any relation ?
How to read full text on Remarks (bellow RUN FROM HERE) ?

look in your macros folder for errorlog. it shows any macro error.
ensure the macro you want to run actually exists in that folder too.

In UCCNC M998 has nothing to do with tool change. (As I see by some web search the M998 is a Mach3 macro for tool change positioning.) You see it at tool change because the M998 is called in the line just before the M6. The error message on the screenshot tells that there is no M998.txt macro in the Macro_Default folder.

Edit: Sorry, it's Tormach specific.

There is no error in error log and nothing M998.txt in Macro_Default folder of uccnc. So actually, I can erase M998 while editing G code.
