Controlling spindle with a GS2: Modbus or 10V ?

I got another UC300 to put on my lathe. I have a GS2 2HP VFD from Automation Direct. I use Modbus to configure it, but I've not tried to run it via Modbus.

I was wondering if anyone had an opinion as to whether: if they had the choice, would they run it via the 0-10V typical interface, or use the Modbus?

I have UCCNC 1.2111
