charge pump issue

Postby jensenjim2 » Sat Nov 02, 2019 2:08 am

AXCC_E
I followed the wiring picture 9.3.4 , believe I have all the correct settings in config but I get error that there is an external e-stop or limit switch pressed.

I dont understand the charge pump wiring, it is not wired into my switches because I dont have a reley

I put 24volts to port 1, 01 and this error goes away and the system works, but the green light for 24 volt goes out (3 lights grn, blue, grn) and the end stops no longer work

current setup:
I have 24 volts going to the contact switch and the switch return to port2 l1+ and the l2- going to ground like image 9.3.4 in the axbb manual.

so what is going wrong how does the port 1 01 get wired in?
The end of the manual illustration shows the charge pump wired in with a relay but it still goes to the 24volt source that feeds the switch. so again when I put 24v to the charge pump the e-stop error is gone, I can reset the system
and it runs via input commands but the end stops dont work. I have the 2 x end stops wired separate so I can square the gantry (not important) the opposit end of x with a stop , y stops both ends wired together, the z axis wired seperate
all of these work according to the diag page, lighting the Chiclets when depressed

is this a simple issue, or do I unwire each switch and work from the beginning adding one at a time, I will put this on hold to see if I can get informed befor I spark this thing. so many other projects I can work on
Thanks in advanced if there is a wizard that can understand my ramblings

The charge pump is optional as everything else. If you will not place a charge pump relay (you said you will not) then you simply wire it witout it, thats all.
The only thing is that then the controller will not remove the power from the relay and from the motors when the software is not loaded, it is just a missing safety feature then, but ofcourse the other parts of the system will still work without the relay.

ok james we have identified the problem
the charge pump circuit is not in play, as far as putting 24v to it and the green light going out who knows, at least all went back to normal when you removed it.
I figure by powering the circuit thus removing the endstop operations is why the system allowed reset, of course this setup could not function like that
apon further review it was noted that the gantry was setup to auto square using seperate endstop switch wiring. when you configured the end stops you had then as both set up as limit switches and home
when you removed the config limit - and limit plus from both the x and a axis and enabled the home on both the reset error was gone thus the table moves and the gantry moves to the home switches and stops
of course I need to run this setup and further try to understand the software termonology and configuration, the manual being very limited
best of luck james, thankyou jim
