AXBB/UCCNC TROUBLE

Hello I’m new to this community and CNC for that matter. I recently destroyed a parallel port breakout board that came with my machine as a result I decided to go with the AXBB motion controller . I’ve read and reread both manuals for this piece and still have not been able to get movement. my ethernet connection is set up properly and tests well . With the AXBBb powered down I’m able to move all of the axis when I power up they won’t budge so signal is getting to the motors obviously not the right signals feel like I have the drivers wired correctly in common anode but I’m a little confused as th whether I have the enable wired correctly. My drivers are different then most everyone else’s that I’ve seen online and in forums. Mine only have four inputs the H/D( which I have no clue what this is ) and GRD have no connection I believe they’re grounded together internally but I’m not sure. I have not seen any examples on how to wire my type of drivers anywhere and it’s not for a lack of looking . Also have another strange occurrence happening, I’m getting inaccurate readings on my diagnostics tab , in fact , if I unplug everything from the AXBB it still shows lots of inputs and outputs in both red and green. that’s clearly not right what could possibly be the cause of that ? I’m having a hard enough time as it is I don’t need any exotic problems to just confuse me more any help would be greatly appreciated

That just means the drive is powered. It does not mean any signals are getting to the drive. Your picture is too small to see anything. Please post a larger picture, and a manual for your drives. And info on how you have them wired t the AXBB.

Here is the exact driver I have and this is the documentation as well. My wiring is done as the schematic shows using pin 9 (step)and 10 (direction)from the non isolated port 1 outputs. Also as I stated before I, getting leds lit up on my diagnostics tab and I have nothing attached to the axbb. Very strange. Thanks ger21

Also this is what I’m talking about I have leds on the axbb that are lit up on the inputs which shouldn’t be, and I have led’s lit up in diagnostics that don’t correspond with my connections or my settings for the x axis. Lost in Texas over here

You will also have to connect the GND on the step/dir side to the 5V0 of the AXBB-E, otherwise it would sure not work.

The input LEDs in the AXBB-E are lit because all inputs are high level (pullup resistors inside), they mimic an LPT port type connection in which all inputs are high level when inactivated.
So, those virtual LEDs show the logic level (high or low) of the inputs not that the input is active or not and the physical LEDs on the controller shows the active state (on or off) of the input.

So I tried that wiring as you suggested and no movement. I’m confused about the stepper paperwork above it’s calling for me to connect CP+ and CP- to pulse In my case pin 9 of non isolated port 1 and CW+ and CW- to dir in my case pin 10 of the non isolated port 1. So afraid to make a wrong connection and that just doesn’t seem right. Am I reading that correctly?
Everything else I’ve read has shown me to wire It like this:

Cp-
Cw- both to 5v0

Cp+ Step pin 9
Cw+ Dir pin 10

I have limits all at zero so that shouldn’t be preventing it and my estop isn’t connected I’m merely isolating the x motor looking for signs of life. Is it mandatory that the AXbb see the estop in order to move the X axis?

That’s a whole other issue pretty sure I screwed it up trying to import a Mach 3 profile. Really not sure what I did. I’ll send the default.pro that’s where I’ve been working from I believe.ho do I do that exactly. I see the file just not sure how to post it
